Laurie brings a wealth of experience from her senior roles at Datadog and Cognizant, where she consistently pushed the boundaries of what legal teams can achieve. Her visionary approach to optimizing contracting processes and her enduring passion for transforming the way legal teams operate are perfectly aligned with Dioptra’s mission.
Perhaps most compelling is Laurie's personal journey with AI in the legal sphere. “Like computers and the internet, genAI has the power to elevate the work of lawyers, making us more efficient. Starting in early 2023, I pushed my team to incorporate AI into their workflow. By the start of 2024, legal became the first internal team to launch an AI chatbot. The next frontier for me was automated contract review and redlining.” Laurie said “I’m thrilled to join Dioptra because I’ve seen firsthand what its AI agent is capable of and I’m confident we can tackle the mundane aspects of contract reviews accurately, allowing lawyers to focus on critical strategic negotiations.”

Laurie comes to us from her most recent role at Datadog, where she served as Chief Commercial Counsel. Her tenure there was marked by significant contributions to contract process optimization and legal efficiency. Prior to Datadog, Laurie was instrumental at Cognizant, shaping the legal operations function and serving as Chief Commercial Counsel for the North America insurance vertical. A graduate of NYU School of Law, her industry expertise extends back to her early career days as an IP associate at Schulte Roth & Zabel and Allen & Overy.
