Our story

At Dioptra, our story is one of resilience and innovation. Founded by three seasoned technologists with over a decade of experience building AI products and applications in industries like Pharma, Tech, and Media, we actually began as a developer tool for AI and ML engineers to deliver higher accuracy and more reliable systems. However, as LLMs became widely accessible, a new wave of applications emerged and with it the need for reliability, leading us to reconsider where accuracy was most paramount. Thinking about our own challenges, we identified contracts as a significant pain point that consistently slowed down the business. So our founders, with backgrounds from Spotify, IBM Watson, and academic roles at Columbia University, pivoted Dioptra to focus on applying their own expertise building high accuracy systems to contract review. Our AI Agent, which achieves lawyer-level accuracy in redlining, playbook distillation and compliance, stands as a testament to this pioneering shift. Central to our mission is making contract reviews faster, more affordable, and maintaining our core values of trust, transparency, and excellence.
